The AX5042-EVK USB Evaluation Kit is a simple to use platform for evaluations and development of RF systems It enables you to configure the RF parameters and the baseband of the AX5042 RF transceiver. It also offers the possibility to send packet data easily and measure packet error rate.

The AX5042-EVK USB Evaluation Kit includes two miniature USB development and evaluation boards, which comprises an AXSEM AX5042 narrowband RF Transceiver IC and an on-board 8051 Microcontroller with integrated USB interface and 16 Kbytes Flash memory. The board is configured for the connection of an external antenna; however an internal loop antenna is integrated on the board.

The microcontroller hosts a demo application which is used to interface the RF transceiver over a USB port to the AXcontrol EVK windows application, which helps configuring the Evaluation board and can also be used to measure packet error rate easily.

The included USB programmer for the on-board 8051 micro-controller, the open source and license free SDCC compiler make the AX5042-EVK a powerful, yet cost-effective development environment, which lets you start your development immediately.
